SOPA and Why You Should be Talking About It
Nobody on xanga seems to care about SOPA, but it's getting a lot of attention on other corners of the internet. Concerned about freedom on the internet? Do you want to be sued for posting a video on youtube! Watch this video. Think about this issue.
It isn't a republican vs. democratic issue. Don't let yourself get distracted by the political divide. What these people are doing is insane.

That sucks!
This explains why Avast! antivirus has blocked Torrent and limewire on my computer. Avast! is affiliated with Avaaz, the web-based worldwide democracy movement.
The last thing they want to see is the plutocracy raking in the bucks, off the lower and middle classes. No, we don't owe the rich any of our what little money we have. Anyone who sues me will get nothing. They'd have to kill me, and my son, first.I haven't seen too much outrage on the internet over SOPA at all, which surprises me. It should be seriously pissing people off.
Also, that guy is just weird.
Honestly, we should not be stealing the intellectual property of others, even if they are rich crazy famous people. Just my two cents. :)
Just need to tell the right people and it will spread like wild fire.
SOPA AND WHY YOU AIN'T BEEN FOLLOWING IT
We have. We see it mentioned everywhere we go. Its supporters, Universal Music, Sony, Comcast et al, argue that it's a matter of copyright. But their remedy, seizing and shutting down parts of the internet to protect their shrinking profits, is a gross overreaction. As a matter of fact, copyrights are already covered in the DCMA law. Besides, SOPA will not really block anything!
SOPA BLOG
Actually if SOPA passes they will probably take Xanga down…
@we_deny_everything - Right, they won’t block anything, because they won’t need to. What they’ll do is they’ll make the web site in question inaccessible.YAAY THE FRESH AIR OF FREEDOM
OMG I LUV THIS GUY. HE REMINDS ME OF SANTA CLAUS\!!!!!
Also I hate people.
That's why I love India's more people-friendly copyright laws... and its effective! The rich just want to squeeze more money out of the people who are making them rich, and government is so favoring them...
Sharing this. Don't sue me.
I hate people. If the world had more pears and less people it would be a better place.
@ordinarybutloud - Squishy pears. If I can't sink my teeth in and drink it, I don't want it.
this sopa is unclean
Writer Senators and House members isn't going to do much a thing. They already know all the details, you can be sure. Spreading knowledge to eachother is good, but also boycotting those companies involved is key. Absolutely key.
It is ridiculous. I'm going to be writing about this as well. Congress has been throwing so much BS at us that it's difficult for the public to keep up with everything. Which is exactly what they want.
@TiredSoVeryTired - There are far better ways to go about taking care of copyright infringements rather than giving this kind of radical power away.
@firetyger - True, but that's true about everything the government does.
@TiredSoVeryTired - I agree that they do always try to seize power when they can. But I don't agree with it or think it's acceptable.
So that's what it is all about. Thank you for sharing.
Better PEAR than SOPA and PIPA.
